Managed response: bundled hunting vs paid add-on
The clearest structural difference is what happens after detection. CrowdStrike bundles its 24/7 threat hunting team into Falcon Enterprise at $184.99 per device per year, and sells full management (Falcon Complete) above that. SentinelOne’s equivalent human layer, Wayfinder MDR, is a separate line item on top of the $179.99 Complete tier, so the “same price” comparison flips once you want humans watching. If you have no security staff, price the tier you would actually run, not the sticker.
Response model: intelligence-led vs autonomous
Reviewers describe the products’ personalities consistently. CrowdStrike reviews point to the attack-chain visibility, adversary intelligence, and the process tree that makes triage fast; you respond with context. SentinelOne’s signature capability is autonomous remediation and rollback: the agent can undo ransomware damage on Windows without an analyst in the loop.
