CrowdStrike Falcon Go review: is the small-business tier enough?

What CrowdStrike’s cheapest bundle includes, what it leaves out, and who should buy it.

By Jean Luc Poitier, SEO and growth marketing strategist · CrowdStrike Reviews · Updated November 5, 2026

Quick verdict

Falcon Go is CrowdStrike’s self-serve bundle for small businesses: Falcon Prevent next-gen antivirus, USB device control, protection for iOS and Android phones, and Express Support, at $59.99 per device per year for up to 100 devices. You can buy it online and try it for 15 days without a card. It suits a small business replacing consumer antivirus that has no one to run a security console. The catch is what it leaves out: no endpoint detection and response and no threat hunting, which start at Falcon Enterprise. If you already run Microsoft 365, Defender for Business includes EDR for less, so compare it first.

What Falcon Go includes

  • Falcon Prevent, CrowdStrike’s next-gen antivirus, the same prevention engine every Falcon tier uses.
  • Falcon Device Control for USB drives and SD cards, plus Bluetooth and Thunderbolt devices on macOS.
  • Falcon for Mobile for iOS 16 and later and Android 9 and later.
  • Express Support. CrowdStrike says it adds extended hours and access to technical account managers; its 2023 support data sheet puts the first response within four hours, or one hour for critical issues.

The Falcon sensor runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. CrowdStrike says Go installs in minutes with a guided setup, and its trial guide asks you to uninstall other antivirus first.

From CrowdStrike's pricing page, checked November 5, 2026. Identity protection, IT hygiene, and Next-Gen SIEM are add-ons in every tier.

Pro adds central control of each machine's built-in firewall. Enterprise adds Falcon Insight XDR, which records what happens on each endpoint so you can investigate an attack, and Falcon Adversary OverWatch, CrowdStrike's 24/7 threat hunting team. Go's job is to block threats before they run; if something gets past it, you won't have the records to trace what happened. For the full tier breakdown, see our CrowdStrike pricing page.

Falcon Go pricing and billing

  • Annual billing is $59.99 per device, paid up front. Monthly billing is $7.99 per device, or $95.88 over a year.
  • Annual plans can be cancelled within 30 days for a full refund. Monthly plans aren't refunded.
  • Plans renew automatically at CrowdStrike's then-current price; on annual terms it emails reminders at least 60 and 30 days before renewal.
  • You can buy up to 100 devices online. Adding devices mid-term is charged pro rata at the current price.
  • CrowdStrike's online terms limit the purchase to business use, so Falcon Go isn't sold for home computers.

The 15-day free trial needs no card and includes the Falcon Go modules, with extra modules you can switch on to test. When it ends, the console closes; you buy separately. Our free trial vs paid guide covers what to test in those 15 days.

What reviewers and testers say about Falcon Go

Most reviewers in our corpus run larger Falcon deployments, so few speak to Go directly. What carries over is the prevention engine: the detection quality and the light agent are the most common praise across our CrowdStrike reviews. Two reviewers raise cost for small teams: a 2026 G2 reviewer finds the pricing higher than competitors' and the initial setup complex for new users, and a Software Advice reviewer recommends it to organizations “with the budget for it”.

On independent testing, SE Labs gave CrowdStrike its 2025 Small Business New Endpoint Award, which CrowdStrike says went to Falcon Go. CrowdStrike didn't win a small-business award in SE Labs' 2026 round. AV-Comparatives' business tests cover Falcon Enterprise, not Go.

Who should buy Falcon Go

Falcon Go fits a business of up to 100 devices that wants better protection than consumer antivirus, with a price it can see and buy online, and no one whose job is security. Pick something else in these cases:

  • You want to manage machines' firewalls centrally: Falcon Pro, $99.99 per device per year.
  • You want to investigate attacks, or want CrowdStrike's hunters watching: Falcon Enterprise, $184.99.
  • Nobody will look at the console: a managed service, such as Falcon Complete or Sophos MDR through a local provider.
  • You pay for Microsoft 365 Business Premium: Defender for Business is already included.

Falcon Go FAQ

How much does CrowdStrike Falcon Go cost?+

$59.99 per device per year billed annually, or $7.99 per device per month billed monthly ($95.88 a year). Prices are in US dollars, and you can buy up to 100 devices online. Annual plans can be cancelled within 30 days for a full refund; monthly plans get no refund.

Does Falcon Go include EDR?+

No. Falcon Go is next-gen antivirus, USB device control, mobile protection, and Express Support. Endpoint detection and response (Falcon Insight XDR) and CrowdStrike’s 24/7 threat hunting start at Falcon Enterprise, $184.99 per device per year. Microsoft Defender for Business, by comparison, includes EDR at $3 per user per month.

Is Falcon Go free?+

No, but you can try it free for 15 days with no credit card. The trial covers the Falcon Go modules, and you can switch on extra modules during it. When it ends, access to the console stops; nothing converts to a paid plan automatically.

How many devices does Falcon Go cover?+

Up to 100 devices per purchase, priced per device. CrowdStrike’s Falcon Go pages don’t say whether servers or phones count toward the cap differently, so ask before you buy if your count is close to 100. Above that, Falcon Pro and Enterprise have no stated limit.

Is Falcon Go good for a small business?+

For a small business replacing consumer antivirus, with no one to run a security console, it is CrowdStrike’s detection engine at its lowest price, and you can buy it online. If you already pay for Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Defender for Business is included and adds EDR, so compare that first.
